Hitting the road

Weve decided that in 2011 we were going to go on adventures as a family once a month to somewhere we have never been , or havent been in a long time.

There is so much in SO CAL that we never get to see or do-well its time to see it ALL!

Monday Dec. 26th Craig had the day off...so we took our first adventure to the California Science Center in LA.

$8 to park and free to get in!

So many fun things for the kids to do...

first we hit up the hurricane tunnel...

more like a giant hairdryer :)

Visited the tide pools.

The arctic.

Miles was texting his buddies :)

The giant fish tank was where we spent about an hour.

So many fish to spot - we got there just at the right time.

There were 3 divers who came in and fed the fish and talked with a microphone from inside the tank out to us about what they were doing.

Eye spy in the fish tank ..... One of my favorite things weve done.

On the way out there is the lever and pully to lift a truck...here are craig and the kids trying to lift the pick up truck...

We had so much fun just playing around all day!

We then found a restraunt we found on Yelp nearby.

Drove thru the ghetto to get there...wasnt sure if once we found the place we would be able to get out of the car :)

But we found it and it was called El Cholo.

Really YUMMY-

and TONS of pictures all over of celebrities who have eaten there. Pretty impressive list...Michael Jackson (paige freaked over that), and Madonna...kinda cool.

Love discovering new places and exploring this fun place we live.

Cant wait to see where we wend up exploring this year!
