Angels in the outfield.

We headed out to the California Angels of Los angeles in Anaheim aka: The Big A last Wednesday night and had a blast!

We started out with a foam noodle sword fight in the parking lot to get pumped for the game.

Cant beat $15 seats with hot dog and soda included.

Plus, Its way more fun to be sitting where you can barely see the game anyways right!?

More entertaining people, the wave, beach ball tosses, & people who dont care when your baby throws up on themselves due to too much baseball junkfood.

(yes,this happened)

Mason had Peanut, hot dog, & cotton candy overload which resulted in a small "incident".

My favorite part of the night was watching Mason get SO excited each time the music would play, crowd would cheer, or fireworks would go off! It was one GIANT party to this boy. I think we have a baseball fan for life.

My other favorite is watching him learn how to crack open peanuts and throw them on the ground. TOO CUTE!!

His little fingers prying open the shell-he ate the peanuts for a while and then it was just fun to open and then throw the entire thing on the ground.

Whatever keeps him busy for an hour right.

This little girl waited and waited for the cotton candy man to come to our section through the whole game and FINALLY she got to eat her fluffy happiness!

We had practiced the 7th inning stretch song all day and Paige had it DOWN.

Her face lit up once she realized the ENTIRE stadium was singing the same song.

9th inning ANGELS WERE WINNING, so we went down to find Craigs sister Kari and her husband. His family has amazing seats next to 1st base so we snuck down to thier level at the end of the game and got a pic closer to the field.

Here is Auntie Kari who is about to have a baby girl in a few weeks! We cant wait!

Memorial weekend

THIS is why we live in Southern California!

Saturday we headed down to Corona Del Mar to play at the beach all day!

The sun came out right as we were getting there - and it stayed amazing all day!

Perfect beach day.

Masons job was in the sand from the moment we got there! So glad my kids love the beach as much as I do! He ate half the sand there I swear!


Craigs routine:
1. Get out Sunblock 90 out of bag.
2. Sit on ice chest for balance. (this is going to be a long application process).
3. Pour half bottle of sunblock in hand.
4. Apply to stomach and arms.
5. apply to face and ears repeatedly. Do not stop until you are reflecting images of the beach on your forehead from the shine.
6. Apply to legs and feet, and each piggy toe-painful when burnt. Use daughters chair to place feet up on so sand does not stick to the freshly applied sunblock.
7. call wife over to apply other half of the bottle to back.
Pray she doesnt spell something out in sunblock like "i love my wife". (or leave handprints-happend once upon a time)
8. Get out spray sunblock and spray bald- I mean -top of the head.
9. Enjoy a full day in the sun and feel extremely proud of self when there is no red skin to be seen once you arrive home that night.
(by the time he has finished I have blocked up myself, and 2 kids! Im not kidding about this "process")



Hes spotted the water and we have now have a battle of wills on our hands :)

We played until around 5:00. Mason lasted a long time without a nap....he kept laying his head down wherever it fell saying "nigh night"......

Such a fun day!

Cant wait to head back soon.

My babys all growed up!

"Am I really 18 months old today?! Wow, I cant believe it....Im half way to 2, life just goes by too fast!"

Oh wait! Im 18 months today....I get to go to the Nursery instead of running around the halls and driving Daddy crazy at church!! I get to go in that fun room with the kids, toys, bubbles and people who will feed me for 2 hours!!!
Mama, dont be sad. I'll still be your baby boy and give you lots of loves when we get home.

Mason LOVED the nursery today! He was so excited to play with all the kids. He only started crying once all the other kids were leaving with thier parents.

He probably thought we had left him there forever.

Theyreeeeeeeeeeee baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Last year you may remember me complaining about these little guys who turn our neighborhood into a HORROR movie for about a month.

Last year I thought they were bad.

oh no.

they have come back and are 100 times worse!!!!!

The pest control guys dont know what they are.

Mutant Bugs.

This year they have invaded my house. Coming (luckily onlly a few at a time) through windows into bathtubs, sinks, and into the kitchen. Covering the entire back of my house outside.

The vaccum has a permanent home by the kitchen slider and I get rid of hundreds a few times a day.

Last year they were here for 3 or 4 weeks and disappeared in ONE Day.

They have already been here 4 weeks and are getting WORSE by the day.

Heaven help us. :) Im about to loose my mind!!!!

I think we may just go hang out at a hotel by the beach for a few weeks till these are history....anyone wanna join!? :)

The Circus is in town!!

We heard the CIRCUS WAS HEADING TO TOWN(valley center)....and even better that My Grandpa and Cousin Angela were going to get to ride the elephant around the circus at intermission-so of course we jumped in the car to witness this once in a lifetime opportunity!

(and hear my gpa make jokes about the tricks he would be doing).

We got there around 5:00 and hung around with my Grandparents until our 7:30 showing.

*grandpa doesnt like to be late*

We got to watch the animals go in and out of the tent since there was another show going on.......

Mason was BEYOND excited to see them.....

Made me want to put one of those cute pink ruffle hats on them like the Mamas have in the movie :)


Grandma Barbara paid for Paige and Masons ride on the mini ponies.
Mason's FIRST ride and he more than LOVED it!!
Squealing, laughing, waving , petting the pony.....if he stays short and stumpy maybe he could have the career of a horse jockey! :)

Mason sat with GMA and GPA the whole show. Loved every minute.

His head was almost straight up at the ceiling most the time watching the shows so high in the air.

They ended up letting Grandpa ride with Angie, Mari, Paige AND Mason!

So fun!

Mason was staring at the elephants and I said, Do you want to ride on the elephant?, he shook his head up and down "yes". So up he went!!!

This is a 14 year old boy bending to fit into the smallest box ive ever seen. 'nuff said.

And these 3 elepants were HUGE!!!!!!!!!

We were seriously 20 feet from them and WOW. They roll on the floor and stand on those tiny boxes. Its crazy. They look so sad in thier eyes, but i hope inside they are really proud of themselves :)

We had a BLAST!!!

It was so much fun. This small little circus felt like we were in our own backyard watching!

MASON and his FIRST PONY RIDE!

Our weekend road trip

We headed up north to San Francisco this last weekend for my cousin Max's wedding in the Oakland Temple.

We were "caravaning" up with my sis, her hubby Kang & my mom. Trying to make the most of the short weekend=long drive, we decided to stop in Pismo Beach half way up california thursday night.

The kids are ready for the 4 hour drive....the movies on....its road trip time!

We found this hotel online and crossed our fingers it was as good as the website said.

If you want an amazing hotel room for your whole family to fit in --this is the place.

When we stay in a hotel the bed is a HUGE deal to us...and this one was one of the BEST!

We got up to play around the hotel for a little bit before we had to get on the road again.....

We drove down to the Pismo Pier and Uncle Kang bought Paige a "lilo" ankle braclet in HOT PINK!! it made her day!

Trying to keep this top heavy kid from taking a spill off the pier. He was so sick with a nasty cough but was SO good the whole time you wouldnt have even known.

He did end up falling at the end of the pier walk as we were almost to the car....sliding his poor forehead along the asfault and sand-thats gotta hurt!

DONT even get me started on how good these were! These made the next leg of the trip not so bad :)

Made it to Rainy San Francisco....entertaining themselves on the spinny chair in the hotel room.

His newest Trick....love this kid!

Saturday was the wedding....we headed up to Oakland. Since it was drizzling the kids hung in the visitors center....

Craig had never been to San Francisco, so I kept telling him how pretty it was and we would drive over the golden gate bridge and blah blah blah. well we had yucky weather and this is ALL we saw of the Golden Gate Bridge (from the Bay bridge). Oh well. life goes on right.

So we headed down to Fishermans Wharf to see the crazies and eat a little seafood!

The BUSHMAN. Apparently hes a "legend". Hes definately entertaining.....we watched him scare people for about 20 minutes. Why does that never get old!? :)

and we found MASON street! :)

Paiges favorite part of the trip.....the sea lions. Just like sea world without the cost, right.

Paige is the craziest kid youll ever meet when it comes to food.

She wanted the Jumbo shrimp coctail for dinner.

My mom ordered Clam steamers for an appetizer and she dug right in not even knowing what they were and LOVED them...and ate my fried calamari.....shes awsome! :)

The next day we headed home.....the dreaded drive down the 5 fwy.

The kids were fine...movies, naps, books, coloring......

It was me that has the ADD issue.

These are the 2 things that kept me sane.

Internet on craigs phone.....who knew how fast 7 hours is when I can read blogs all day in the car! :)

& GUMMY WORMS!!!!!!!

Seriously-it looks like this for 5 hours!!! insane.

They were amazing!!!

And then the natives were getting wrestless....once we got into the last 45 minute stretch it was "mom how much farther i want to see my friends"

"do you think they missed me?"

"do you think taylor will be excited to see me, ive been out of town so long!"

"where are we"

and the best one of the weekend..........

"what do you think Jesus eats for Breakfast, cheerios?"

So to keep her ( i mean her and I) occupied we started just taking pictures......

We were so happy we were able to go up to Sf and play with family that we hardly get to see! See some sights weve never seen before. Have some good quality time together and get away from "real life" for a little while.

Cant wait for the next trip......
