Off Track...Police!

We were 'off track' from school in November.

There were so many fun things we planned to do along with some other moms and thier kids for the whole month!

One of the first things we did was head to the Chino Hills police station for a tour.

Sheriff Miles

McGruff came out to say hi and to SAY NO TO DRUGS! Mason and Ash excited to go see the jails....that hopefully scares them straight! :)

Kids got to see the jail holding cell, the one toilet (with no doors), and how tiny the back seat of the police car is...

hope they never get to see any of those places again! :)

Miles 6 months!

Oct. 27

Miles is halfway to his 1st birthday extravaganza!!

At 6 months he weighs 16 lbs. 13 oz and is 24 inches-you should see his chunky monkey chewy legs!

(he has no ankles at the moment either)

He is up on his hands and knees rocking.

He sits alone.

He pushes himself up to sit.

He grabs everything in sight.

Hes eating fruits, oatmeal and rice cereal.

He wakes up once at night.

He is a definite cuddler.

Miles has a special calm spirit about him.

He calms me.

I NEVER thought I would say that because from the day we brought him home for 3 1/2 months - that baby almost drove me to the nut house.

He is wonderful now.

The calm sweet spirit I knew he had in those first couple days in the NICU are back!

Such a sweet sweet boy.

I LOVE MY BOYS!!

There is something special about a boy and thier Mama.

I wisper in Masons ear every day..."I'm so lucky to have you!"

I mean those words with all my heart for all 3 of our kids.

They are the most wonderful spirits and personalities I could ask for.

I have so much to be thankful for this week.

Breakfast of champions.

We have been 'off track' for the last couple weeks.

Which means Mom doesnt have to jump out of bed everyday to feed and get Paige off to school...and so some days I get up and out of bed when I am good and ready! :) Paige loves to get them both breakfast.

A couple times I have come down to witness my kids choice of breakfast foods....

Here we have:

Cookies and milk

Weve got protien from the eggs in the cookies and the dairy...that works right?!

If you notice a 'left over' coke cup behind the milk...Mason may or may not have had a few swigs of that too...i wouldnt put it past him!

A couple days later...I noticed thier 'breakfast' plates covered in brownie crumbs & sugar.

Hm. When I questioned the 'oldest child' she said "IT WAS HIS IDEA!"

Our Royal Writer

October awards ceremony:

Paige recieved the Royal Writer award!!

It is an award they rarely give out.

Im not quite sure what the requirements are even or how she got it.

In passing her teacher mentioned to me something about a story she wrote that included using apostrophes, which is a little unheard of in Kindergarden. She is just awsome. Paige picks up on everything. You say something one time, and shes got it down. Im sure thats all it took for her to know how to use them in her story writing.

A Royal Writer award deserves a royal writer dinner :)

October 9 2010

October 9th came once again.

We visited Papa Steve.

Left him notes.

Left plumeria flowers

& Bird seed.

( the kids like to think birds come visit and play when they leave)

This year we let red, white and blue balloons go up to 'heaven' for him.

The pink balloon is for Jessica's baby girl Sophia who passed away earlier this year. She is buried in the same cemetary a few feet away. Pretty special.

I thought it was so cute what she wrote "I can snocll (snorkel) just like you". LOVE that she feels like her notes are really read by him, which I know in my heart he does.

I am glad that we make a point to remember

& teach my kids about thier amazing grandpa that I KNOW taught them in Heaven before they came to us.

The things they do and know couldnt have come from anybody else :)

Eternally grateful for his example.

I have nothing but happy memories when I think of My grandma Barbara Ann.

Shes so amazing the beach boys even wrote a song about her :)

Grandpa Jack is the biggest antagonizer youve ever known. He does it in good fun. Its just him. We all love it, and wait for him to start in on something :)

I could go on and on and on and on about all the things I love about my Grandma Barbara....but for now....I LOVE YOU GRANDMA. You are the example of unconditional love.

5 months!

Miles @ 5 months!!

He moved into his own 'apartment' (his own bedroom and crib) the day he turned 5 months.

He was just over sleeping in the room with us, and gave us his eviction notice...and never looked back.

Rolling, pushing up and giggling!!

Life gets busy.

Were trying to 'soak in' all the fun a baby brings to a home as much as we can...I know this time is crazy but it also goes way too fast.

Soon enough I'll be wondering where my baby went.

Turning 30....

..........turned out to be NOT so bad! :)

We spent 3 Saturdays in a row on Craigs families boat in Newport to celebrate my bday this year.

No where else Id rather spend time with friends and family.

First we went out with friends I've had since Kindergarden...

This was such a fun boat ride up and down the coast!!! Havent laughed that hard in a LONG time....xxoo

We ate at Joes Crab shack. I Wasnt planning on dressing in swiss clothes and having the restaraunt sing Happy Birthday to ME...while I YODELED!! HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO. Never again! :)

Then we headed out for another fun day!! These girls were a riot also...we got doused with a huge wave from a boat that passed by...and Carrie rode the front of the boat like a horse the entire time...entertaining!!

The 3rd Saturday we went out with the Blumes for a day on the ocean to celebrate Grandma K's birthday also...

We took the kids this time...They had a blast! and it was the perfect day to be out on the water.

We found a pod of dolphins off the Balboa pier and watched them for a while....so fun!
We could hear each time they took a breath they were so close!

On my actual Birthday we went out to a Teppan restaraunt with my Mom, Linds, Kang, Katie and Baby Bruce...

Always fun!

Thanks everyone for making my turning 30 such a fun few weeks!!

I guess its ok since I still LOOK and FEEL like im 16 :)
