Our LONG & fun weekend!

We have family that raises pigs and takes them to the Del Mar Fair each year....so we decided to go visit them on Wednesday! If you care to know of my meals for the day it consisted of the following:

Breakfast: Toast & OJ (started out well)

Enter the fair:

Lunch: Cheese Dog on a stick

Snack: Blooming onion

Snack: Waffle Cone Sunday w/strawberries & Hot Fudge!

Snack: Cinnamon Roll (light frosting)

Yes, I must say all inhibitions go OUT the window when I'm at the fair.....

Note: I did share some of these things with family too

Down in San Clemente on the 4th- Masons 1st time Putting his feet in the ocean! He seemed to really like it when his little toes sunk into the sand.....thats a good sign.

Paige's 1st Sparkler. She liked the show for a while until the firecrackers came out....and then she hid on the golf cart until it was over.

Our neighborhood had a Block party saturday afternoon. Lots of water and fun for the kids.

The party continued back onto our street where the fireworks came out in full force.....
Ended the night with a fire & smores on our driveway-Our garage still smells like yummy firepit!! :)

Oh yeah, and the Sheriff came by to "confiscate" our fireworks (& all our neighbors) and at the same time told us our firepit was also illegal... woops!

Oh thank heaven.....

I have had it on the calendar - and then Holly sent me the "official" link for the FREE SLURPEE DAY!!!

3 days and counting.....

So Ive always loved the 4th of July. Getting together with family or friends and hanging out at a park or the beach, eating yummy food, and watching fireworks at night! My dad used to blast all the patriotic music throught the house (to our disgust at the time)-and now I Love hearing that music any time of the year, but of course on the 4th! I feel so honored and proud to be a part of this country and the freedoms we enjoy-the music just reminds me of those men and women who are fighting for these rights.

Ever since we've had Paige we have spent the 4th in San Clemente at my Aunts house going back and forth from the pool to the beach. We end the night on the beach watching the fireworks over the san Clemente Pier. Each year as Paige has been getting older, it seems that day gets more and more exciting for us for some reason. I love the tradition and memories that are made on the 4th-BBQ, red white and blue, sun kissed cheeks at the end of the day, fireworks in the street. This year ive just been SO excited-and Paige is very excited to decorate her scooter and march in the neighborhood parade with her friends. Even Craigs excited because while in Vegas we had to make a pit stop at the ultra sketchy firework shop 30 minute up the freeway for his illegal firework show! shhhh......

Maybe its because its finally on a Friday again creating a wonderful 3 day weekend!!??

Either way....I love traditions, I love the summer, and I think that is what makes the 4th of July my 2nd Christmas of the year :) ENJOY THE WEEKEND!!!

Monster Garage

Craig has a "project car" that he plays with in the garage - well I usually just let him be and go inside when he gets his GOGGLES on because I have too many crazy things that could go WRONG in my head :) I just see all his limbs being cut off :) The other night was different.

I walked in and saw what i saw below in the video......(just watch)

WOULD ANY OF YOU HAVE VISIONS OF YOUR HOUSE GOING UP IN FLAMES IF YOU SAW THIS GOING ON IN YOUR GARAGE OR AM I JUST CRAZY!??? :) He was laughing at me because I was reacting so "crazy" in his opinion :) There was a group of people walking by who probably thought there was a "situation" going on in our garage until they realized what I was "discussing" with him and saw FLAMES shooting out the front of our garage almost hitting our cars!!! Craig would call them "sparks" -- He says "sara, those same sparks are hitting my chest and they do not hurt, they are not going to set ANYTHING on fire!!"

OH REALLY........Thats what the man said right before his house turned into the picture above! :)

Our very own architect!!!

After 5 years , 10 exams and countless hours studying Craig has PASSED his FINAL oral exam!!

He can officially call himself an Architect.

Hes relieved and we are VERY proud of him.

Thank you for being such an amazing example of hard work and determination!

Paige had her dance recital (click play above) on Saturday and it always makes us SO proud of her! She just lights up on stage, and does the best job!! At the end of this picture slideshow is the video of her performance......

We laugh and cry through the whole thing :)

We need to go on vacation more often!

We had So much fun in vegas. I realized how much we REALLY need to go away more often. We choose vegas because it has great pools, (dancing girls)...lots of fun things to see and do for free and most of all THE BUFFETS. (ok, maybe not the dancing girls)

Masons first time in the pool....he doesnt look real happy but I think its just the amazing amount of clorine that was steaming his eyes in the 100 degree heat. he survived.

wow i just noticed what paige looks like too.....(craig next time could you tell us when we look disgusting before you take our picture please haha)

We ate at the WYNN buffet-SOOOO GOOD!! Amazing menu....I think Paige is the only 3 year old who gets excited when SUSHI is on the menu.

It was a $40 per person buffet...which we ended up getting for FREE!! so the food was that much better.

YUMMMM....if only we could go back and eat with NO kids at our table.... :)
Circus Circus at 10pm.....Lots of fun treats.....lots of interesting people too :)

We got out of there pretty quickly.

Had a blast in the pool now that Paige can swim.

We stayed at the Hilton Vacation Club on the strip.

Were in baker at the A&W having a "baby pit stop" - amazing how much faster you get to vegas in the dark when they are sleeping :) NO we did not buy the "alien jerkey"!
This is our family going to Vegas. The circles on the bottom of the car are all the places you can put gas in and she even included our Mickey attena ball-or should i say our antenna ball before the car wash ate it :)

Viva Las Vegas!

Were off to Vegas tonight! Im so excited because we havent been ANYWHERE since last summer!! Itll be a fun quick weekend. Looking forward to lots of swimming!!!

This is paige when she was a 18 months last time we stopped in vegas on the way to a reunion. She was such a little party animal even when she was SO little!

This is our 18 month old at midnight-going into the hotel lobby, paci and all!!

She wanted to go into the club they had and dance SO bad :)

Now if i could just get the INK out of the inside of our dryer so that I could finish our laundry so we could go!

(craigs pants had a pen in it that caused havoc on the dryer and all our clothes in it)
