Redondo!

WE LOVE REDONDO BEACH PIER!

It has the greatest arcade full of games we played as kids....and its SUPER cheap!

Craig wanted to relive his childhood!!

We played the horse racing game...roll the balls into the holes to make your horse run...over and over and over again-SO MUCH FUN! Paige and I won!! Could have played all day.

Shot out the star with the BBGUN! watch out!

Watched a creepy puppet show!

This made me SO HAPPY!!! We used to get eggs out of one of these chicken machines everytime we went to the grocery store as a kid....only this chicken was broken and didnt cluck! :)

We walked out onto the pier. It was the day after the Tsunami in Japan so the tide was really high and they had all the dead fish in the harbor....kinda crazy time to be there.

This was our adventure for the month and it was so much fun! Grandma B Joined us....which the kids always love.

We drove around the Palos Verdes point on the way home and stopped at this look out....

Mason took this cute picture of us...hes a natural :)

Our friend Mr. Gopher and all of his other friends were popping out of thier holes to eat and could care less that we were right there...really funny to watch...wanted to get a rubber hammer :)

We took the road south down the coast...we had NO idea where we were or where we were going....stopping into the occasional neighborhood to oooh and ahhhh about the beautiful homes!

It was one of the funnest road trips because of some funny things that happened in the car ride home....had to be there stuff :)

Love days like this----and love all the adventures weve been having all year!

We live in a such an amazing place!

Day #6 Sunday in the park

Sunday.

Our LAST day in Spain. (well sorta)

We went to the 10am Sacrament meeting in the Madrid 1st ward (barrio uno).

This is the last ward Craig served in while here....

Elder Craigorio Blume..now.

There was nobody there from 15 years ago. A little dissapointing, but Madrid has a lot of immigrants, so with the down economy most have gone back to thier home countries or moved.

It was really neat to be in a Spanish speaking sacrament meeting. Ive never done that before. To see that things are done in the SAME way with the SAME spirit as we feel in our own ward was awesome. The church is true all around the world. There were some cultural differences that were noticable but over all it was the same.

I tried to translate the testimonies as they were spoken with my High school spanish knowledge....not so well :) The only person I really understood was a guy who had just moved there from Utah and was speaking in High school spanish :)

After we left, we headed back to the hotel, took a nap because we got up WAY to early at 9am. ha!

Then headed out for an afternoon in Retiro Park!

The MOST gorgeous park Ive ever been in! perfectly manicured and amazing.
The weather was warming up and we could take off the sweaters so it felt REALLY good to be out!

I would move to Spain just so I could dress my kids up like this! :)

This was on display as "art". colored laundry baskets hanging. interesting.

At this point in the trip Craig was SO OVER me asking him to ask someone to take our picture. :)

He said, YOU ask them this time. So I asked him how to say it in Spanish.

So I walk up to a Lady and instead of saying what Craig just told me I began a game of charades...pretending to take a picture and holding my camera up like a complete MORON! :) So she said Yes!

I walk back to Craig and as shes taking the picture hes making fun of me so bad and says Way to ask her in Spanish :) So were laughing in the picture because im so pathetic :)

Yes! Our disneyland trip was complete...we found MINNIE!

The best way to end the trip! Wish we had a park like this one...pretty amazing.

Off to dinner-bring on the Bocadillo de Jamon and Fanta!

The next morning we left for the airport-ended up with a layover and stayed the night in a hotel that smelled like Petco..nice change from the Westin :)

Met some really fun people and boarded the plane Tuesday am once again...

COULD NOT WAIT TO SEE THE KIDS!!

They came with Grandpa to pick us up and DID NOT stop talking the whole way home!

This trip was unbelievably recharging. We realized how badly we need more time away-just to process and have our own thoughts and full conversation once in a while :)

I felt like a new person when we landed.

Amazing trip! One we never thought wed be able to do.

Grateful for Price is Right.

Grateful for the time it gave us together.

VIVA ESPANA!

Spain Day #5 - Saturday!

Saturday we decided to see how the royals of Spain once lived.

Back up to Plaza del Sol to see some more crazy people dressed as American Icons like...

CHEWBACA!!!

Once again...old stuff that really creeped me out...but SO COOL.

You are NOT allowed to take pictures inside the Palace...there were guards yelling at all kinds of stupid tourists :) SO amazing!! and amazingly creepy at the same time.

Each room was a theme and there were plaques that told a little story about them. One room stated that it was where one of the kings died. I immediately ran to the next room.

SO HAUNTED!

Just relaxing on a park bench in Spain. So nice.

Walked back down towards our hotel and came across the market place with all the crazy food.

It was Carnival so some people were out in costumes and out to have fun.

The Plaza Mayor had all kinds of street performers doing random things all over the place. Some were really cool, some funny, some super super creepy...see below.

Walked 3 HUGE circles this night trying to find food to eat that WASNT bread and ham and window shopped all along the way.

At about 10pm we finally found a sit down place and had pizza and cokes.

Simple yet filling. Happiness.
