Our weekend road trip

We headed up north to San Francisco this last weekend for my cousin Max's wedding in the Oakland Temple.

We were "caravaning" up with my sis, her hubby Kang & my mom. Trying to make the most of the short weekend=long drive, we decided to stop in Pismo Beach half way up california thursday night.

The kids are ready for the 4 hour drive....the movies on....its road trip time!

We found this hotel online and crossed our fingers it was as good as the website said.

If you want an amazing hotel room for your whole family to fit in --this is the place.

When we stay in a hotel the bed is a HUGE deal to us...and this one was one of the BEST!

We got up to play around the hotel for a little bit before we had to get on the road again.....

We drove down to the Pismo Pier and Uncle Kang bought Paige a "lilo" ankle braclet in HOT PINK!! it made her day!

Trying to keep this top heavy kid from taking a spill off the pier. He was so sick with a nasty cough but was SO good the whole time you wouldnt have even known.

He did end up falling at the end of the pier walk as we were almost to the car....sliding his poor forehead along the asfault and sand-thats gotta hurt!

DONT even get me started on how good these were! These made the next leg of the trip not so bad :)

Made it to Rainy San Francisco....entertaining themselves on the spinny chair in the hotel room.

His newest Trick....love this kid!

Saturday was the wedding....we headed up to Oakland. Since it was drizzling the kids hung in the visitors center....

Craig had never been to San Francisco, so I kept telling him how pretty it was and we would drive over the golden gate bridge and blah blah blah. well we had yucky weather and this is ALL we saw of the Golden Gate Bridge (from the Bay bridge). Oh well. life goes on right.

So we headed down to Fishermans Wharf to see the crazies and eat a little seafood!

The BUSHMAN. Apparently hes a "legend". Hes definately entertaining.....we watched him scare people for about 20 minutes. Why does that never get old!? :)

Paiges favorite part of the trip.....the sea lions. Just like sea world without the cost, right.

Paige is the craziest kid youll ever meet when it comes to food.

She wanted the Jumbo shrimp coctail for dinner.

My mom ordered Clam steamers for an appetizer and she dug right in not even knowing what they were and LOVED them...and ate my fried calamari.....shes awsome! :)

The next day we headed home.....the dreaded drive down the 5 fwy.

The kids were fine...movies, naps, books, coloring......

It was me that has the ADD issue.

These are the 2 things that kept me sane.

Internet on craigs phone.....who knew how fast 7 hours is when I can read blogs all day in the car! :)

& GUMMY WORMS!!!!!!!

Seriously-it looks like this for 5 hours!!! insane.

They were amazing!!!

And then the natives were getting wrestless....once we got into the last 45 minute stretch it was "mom how much farther i want to see my friends"

"do you think they missed me?"

"do you think taylor will be excited to see me, ive been out of town so long!"

"where are we"

and the best one of the weekend..........

"what do you think Jesus eats for Breakfast, cheerios?"

So to keep her ( i mean her and I) occupied we started just taking pictures......

We were so happy we were able to go up to Sf and play with family that we hardly get to see! See some sights weve never seen before. Have some good quality time together and get away from "real life" for a little while.

Cant wait for the next trip......

When it gets TOO quiet......

I know THIS little man is probably into some sort of trouble.......

At least he kept it to himself and not the walls..... :)

Disneyland with Grandma B.

We havent been to Disneyland since mid March so we were DYING to get there this week!

We went Friday and braved the crowds...I didnt realize it was the start of thier Food and Wine festival.....

I came across these 2 over at cal adventure...

Didnt see any dancing though, so I was a little bummed.

Mason was easily entertained while we waited for the parade...we saw the new parade. Paige went out into the street and got to dance with Lilo and was bragging all day about it.

Finally took mason over to the Jamboree nature place and he went NUTS. I think he found his favorite place there....well have to go much more now that he can climb and walk it was a blast.

ate one of THESE!!!!

Probably one of the cutest things ive ever seen.....

and SOOOOO YUMMY!!!

Hes a little "red in the face" from crying and begging for his piece...hes a candy junkie for sure!

Glad Grandma B got to come out and play with us....it was a really fun night!!!!

Luckily the Pattersons brought an army of Nintendo DS's for the girls to pass the 6 hours until the Awards ceremony.....

These girls went up agains 9 teams of girls ages 4-7 and they got 3rd Place!!

They also took home Little Diva award.

So proud of them and looking forward to the next one in May.

Paiges 1st Primary talk

This is for all Paigies family who would like to see her give her first Primary(church) talk.....at home.

Easter shananagans.

We had a really fun Easter weekend.

Saturday is always filled with laughs, new litters of puppies, trampoline jumping, homemade strawberry ice cream, cheesy potatoes, Egg racing & of course CHOCOLATE!

My egg racer. Hes a trooper. It was his 6th year competing and once again....he really let me down! :)

The Egg hunt competitors. Mason was giving these vetrans a run for thier money!!

Anything colored and round was going in his basket, whether it was an egg or not. He found a half eated orange and threw that in the mix as well....ewwwwwwwwwwww.

She was very particular this year.

If it wasnt a plastic egg full of candy or $$ she wasnt having it.

and she was especially excited because there were HSM eggs.

In the morning, we woke up and Craig says....Paige is probably already down there eating her candy....I thought no way....

Oh yes my friend.

She came up to our room dressed in her new bathing suit, Sucking on a chocolate egg, So excited to tell us about what the Easter bunny had brought her!!!

Talk about a buzz kill :)

So cute and ready for church. She also gave her first talk in Primary today. She did awsome. NO fear of public speaking for this little girl. I know she didnt inherit that one from me :)

And trying to nail this little boy down for a picture is almost impossible :)

He was more impressed with this lady bug......

and then......he killed it.

They do look adorable though.

All day its been like this......grunt, grunt, grunt!
